Let Us Not Discount the Power of Prayer
The Book of James notes that, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the Heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.”
James 5:17-18.
God is always listening.
God is always listening.
God is our Heavenly Father. He wants to hear from us. We do not always have to make a request. We can simply chat with Him. I wrote some benefits of prayer below.
Benefit 1
Prayer reminds us of our dependence upon God.
Benefit 2
Prayer helps align us better with God's will.
Benefit 3
Prayer refreshes us and prepares us for what God will do in our lives.
Benefit 4
God moves in our lives to effect beneficial changes.
Tips for Prayer
Pray early
Let us not wait to pray to God.
Pray often
Let us stay in constant communication with our heavenly Father.
Pray sincerely
God desires truth in our inmost being (Psalm 51:6) and authenticity from His saints and servants.
Pray for wisdom and understanding
The wisest man after our Lord and Savior Yeshua, Solomon, stated that there was nothing better than wisdom, e.g., Proverbs 3:15.
